Rosedale provides two 8 place Specialist Resourced Provisions (SRPs) of commissioned spaces for Walsall children with an Education Health and Care Plan (EHCP) and a diagnosis of Autism who also have Speech, Language and Communication as their main area of need. Places are allocated through Walsalls' SEND team.
We also provide three of our own internal provisions with spaces for children who have an EHCP with Language and Communication as their main area of need, and have mainstream named on their EHCP.
Our provisions are led by Lucy Gilbert and Elaine Dow, Assistant Head Teachers and SENCOs, supported by 3 Specialist Teachers, two experienced HLTAs and a number of highly skilled Learning Support Assistants.
In our provisions, learning is bespoke and personalised to the needs and targets of the children. With speech, language and communication as the main areas of need, we use part of the school’s allocation and additionally pay for Speech and Language Therapy services to ensure that the children and the staff are supported by the highest trained therapists in Walsall who assess and review the children and provide advice for staff.
