A Warm Welcome to Rosedale CE Infant School

A very warm welcome to Rosedale CE Infant School.

We are delighted that you have taken the time to find out more about our wonderful school. Rosedale is a very special place, and we are incredibly proud of the caring, nurturing and inclusive community we have built together.

At Rosedale, our vision is for every child and adult to Love, Laugh, Flourish and Fly on a journey of learning, discovery and growth. As a Church of England school, our Christian values of Love, Hope, Joy and Peace are at the heart of everything we do. Guided by our school motto, "Let all that you do be done in love" (1 Corinthians 16:14), we strive to ensure that every child feels valued, accepted and deeply cared for.

At Rosedale, difference is not seen as a challenge to overcome but as something to be embraced, valued and celebrated.  Whether children join us full of confidence or needing extra support, our aim is the same: to help them feel safe, happy and excited to learn. Our highly inclusive culture ensures that every child feels a true sense of belonging, and our dedicated team of staff work hard to create an environment where every child can grow in confidence, develop strong relationships and discover their strengths.

Childhood is precious, and we want our children to experience the joy, wonder and excitement that learning can bring. Play is a vital part of life at Rosedale and our learning environments are thoughtfully designed to provide children and adults with exactly what they need to feel successful.  Through exploration, creativity, curiosity and hands-on experiences, children develop the skills, knowledge and independence they need to thrive. We believe that laughter, imagination and learning go hand in hand, and that some of the most powerful learning happens when children are fully engaged in meaningful play.

As a recognised National Nurturing School, relationships sit at the centre of everything we do. We work closely with families, recognising that parents and carers are children's first and most important teachers. Together, we support children to overcome challenges, celebrate successes and develop a love of learning.

Love is the essence of our school.  It can be seen in the relationships we build, the way we support one another and the opportunities we create for every child to succeed. It is a place where children are encouraged to be courageous, compassionate and kind; where differences are embraced and celebrated; and where every child is given the opportunity to flourish academically, socially and emotionally.

I hope our website gives you a glimpse of the warmth, joy and strong sense of community that makes Rosedale such a special place to learn and grow. Strong systems and high expectations underpin our work, but these are always accompanied by reflection, compassion and the courage to continually adapt and improve in response to the needs of our children and community.

Whether you are considering joining our school, are already part of our school family, or are simply interested in learning more about us, we look forward to welcoming you to Rosedale.

With best wishes,

Vicki Stephen
